In short. For July to September 2026, Bandhan Bank reported a net profit of Rs 62,175.05 lakh (about Rs 622 crore), up 455.8% from Rs 11,187.14 lakh (about Rs 112 crore) a year earlier. Its gross NPA ratio was 3.11%, against 5.02% a year earlier.

The quarter in numbers

All figures are in Rs lakh, as printed in the bank's results statement. One hundred lakh make one crore. For a bank, the main income line is interest earned, the interest it collects on loans and investments. The bank has no subsidiary, associate or joint venture, so it files only its own (standalone) results; there are no consolidated figures. The change column is worked out by us.

What these words mean

Interest earned: the interest a bank collects on its loans, investments and money placed with RBI and other banks. It is a bank's version of revenue.

Operating profit before provisions: total income minus interest paid and running costs, before setting money aside for bad loans and before tax.

NPA (non-performing asset): a loan on which repayments have stopped for a set period, usually 90 days. Gross NPA is the full amount of such loans. Net NPA is what is left after the money the bank has already set aside (provisions) for them.

Capital adequacy ratio: the bank's own capital as a share of its risk-weighted loans and assets. RBI sets a minimum level.

Rs lakh: one lakh is one hundred thousand rupees, and one hundred lakh make one crore. So Rs 62,175.05 lakh is about Rs 622 crore. The filing reports in lakh, so this page does too.
