The numbers

The first two tables are consolidated, from the company’s statement of consolidated results. Cummins India reports in Rs crore, so the figures are copied as filed. The change column is worked out by us from the filing’s own numbers. The filing shows revenue from operations as two lines, sales and other operating income, without a subtotal; the subtotal row is our addition of those two lines.

The statement has no line for outside shareholders, so the whole profit belongs to Cummins India’s shareholders. EPS is not annualised.

What the company said

These are the company’s own words, from the press release it filed with NSE on 4 November 2026. The press release figures are standalone.

“Demand remained healthy across key domestic markets, supported by data centers, manufacturing, realty and continued growth in the distribution business. Exports also recorded growth over the previous quarter. Commodity and freight inflation, coupled with product mix, impacted margins.”

Adegbile Adewunmi, Managing Director, Cummins India Limited, press release, 4 November 2026

The press release also says:

  • Domestic sales were Rs 2,692 crore, 5% higher than a year earlier, and export sales were Rs 555 crore, 2% higher.
  • Profit before tax was Rs 601 crore, 28.4% lower than a year earlier. The company put its profit-before-tax margin for the quarter at 18.5%.

What the auditors said

The figures are unaudited. The statutory auditors, Price Waterhouse & Co Chartered Accountants LLP, carried out a limited review of the standalone and consolidated results, which is lighter than a full audit. Their review reports, dated 4 November 2026, say nothing came to their attention that would make them believe the results are misstated, and they contain no emphasis of matter.

Dates

  • Board meeting: Wednesday 4 November 2026, from 19:55 to 21:00 IST. The board approved the results after the Audit Committee reviewed them.
  • Filed with NSE: 4 November 2026 at 22:38 IST. The press release followed at 23:26 IST.
  • Dividend: none declared in this filing.
What these words mean

Consolidated and standalone: here the consolidated figures add Cummins India’s share of profit of one associate and one joint venture to its own results. Standalone figures cover Cummins India Limited alone.

Other operating income: income from the company’s normal business that is not sales of products, shown as a separate line inside revenue from operations.

Exceptional item: a large one-off gain or cost that the company shows separately so it does not mix with normal business.

Rs crore: one crore is ten million rupees. Cummins India reports in Rs crore, so no conversion was needed.

Q2 FY27: the second quarter of the financial year that runs from April 2026 to March 2027.
