The numbers, from the filing
These are the consolidated figures from the company's statement of unaudited results. The company also files standalone figures; consolidated figures include its subsidiaries, so we use those here. The filing reports in rupees crore. The change column is our own arithmetic on the filing's numbers, rounded to one decimal. When last year's figure is small, the percentage change is large, so read the two rupee figures side by side.

The quarter's figures include an exceptional item of ₹7.16 crore, which the filing labels “Impact due to flood in Vapi Plant”. There was no exceptional item in the same quarter of 2025.
The company's note 6 explains it: operations at the Vapi plant were disrupted from 23 July 2026 by heavy rain and flooding, and during the quarter the company received an on-account payment of ₹125 crore from its insurer. The ₹7.16 crore is the company's current best estimate of inventory write-offs, damage to plant and equipment and restoration costs, net of insurance recoveries. The note says the final settlement of the insurance claim, including loss of profit, still depends on the insurer's assessment.

Consolidated results add up the parent company and the companies it controls, as if they were one business. Standalone results cover the parent company alone.
Exceptional item is a cost or gain the company reports separately because it does not arise from normal, recurring business. Here, it is the flood cost at its Vapi plant, after insurance recoveries.
