About Potoos

What does a Potoos Research subscription include, and how does it work?

What you get in each plan, how a call reaches you, what you do yourself, and how to stop or complain. No prices here: they are on the homepage.

Published 3 November 2026 · Potoos Research Services

A Potoos Research subscription gives you research calls from SEBI-registered Research Analyst Vinoth Kumar S, INH000027380, Chennai. Every plan includes both desks: intraday index option calls and positional NSE equity calls. Each call has an entry range, staged targets, a stop-loss set before entry, and the reasoning in writing. Calls are published in the Potoos app the day before the market opens. You place every order yourself, in your own broker account. Plans run for 3, 6 or 12 months.

This page is published by Potoos Research Services about itself. It only repeats what our own published pages say, and the SEBI rules that apply to every Research Analyst.

What every plan includes

A stop-loss is a trigger, not a promised price. In a fast market it can fill worse than its level, or not fill at all.

What the longer plans add

Quarterly Plan, 3 months
Equity alerts and F&O intraday setups. Entry, stop-loss, target, reasoning. Risk profiling.
Half-yearly Plan, 6 months
Everything in Quarterly, plus a weekly market outlook and priority support.
Annual Plan, 12 months
Everything in Quarterly and Half-yearly, plus strategic sector allocation models and on-call support.

Prices are published on the homepage, not quoted on a call. See the plans.

How the calls reach you

Every call is published in the Potoos app the day before the market opens. You read it when you have a minute, decide, and place your order. You are not waiting at the screen for a live message. An intraday option trade still needs watching while it is open.

We do not promise a fixed number of calls in a month. It depends on what the market offers, and some days there is nothing worth sending. A call is never changed after it is sent.

Who makes the calls

Vinoth Kumar S, the proprietor and Research Analyst, SEBI registration INH000027380. Every call carries the analyst's name, the reasoning behind it and the registration number. There is a team behind the desk, so work continues through illness or leave. The research still goes out in the registered analyst's name and signature. Check our registration.

Before you start: terms, KYC and consent

The full terms are shown at signup. You also agree there to the Most Important Terms and Conditions before the subscription starts. Our Investor Charter lists, under onboarding, the sharing of the terms and conditions of research services and completing KYC of fee-paying clients.

This is a SEBI rule, not only our habit. A Research Analyst must disclose the terms and conditions and take your consent first. SEBI's master circular says the analyst "shall ensure that neither any research service is rendered nor any fee is charged until consent is received from the client on the terms and conditions."

What you do yourself

You place every order yourself, in your own account, with your own broker. We need no login, no password and no account linking. If anyone asks for your trading login or an OTP, stop there. SEBI's standard terms for Research Analysts say the same: an analyst cannot carry out any trade on behalf of the client, and clients are advised not to permit an analyst to do so.

If you want to stop

You can cancel at any time during your term. We deduct the amount for the period you have used, on a pro rata basis. The balance is refunded to the account you paid from.

SEBI's rule for individual and HUF clients is the same in principle: on early termination "the client shall be refunded proportionate fees for unexpired period. RA shall not charge any breakage fee."

If something goes wrong

  1. Tell us first. Under our published complaint route, the Research Analyst shall strive to redress the grievance immediately, but not later than 21 days of the receipt of the grievance.
  2. If you are not satisfied, file on SEBI SCORES 2.0 at scores.sebi.gov.in. The first review is done by RAASB, the second by SEBI.
  3. If you are still not satisfied, you can file on the SMART ODR platform for online conciliation or arbitration.

The full route is on our Complaint Redressal page and in our Investor Charter.

What a subscription does not include

For context, SEBI caps what a Research Analyst may charge individual and HUF clients at ₹1,51,000 per family per year.
